December 17, 2010» Yukigassen Saskatoon launch Yukigassen Canada is pleased to announce that Yukigassen Saskatoon will take place January 26-29, 2011 in conjunction with the ever-popular WinterShines Festival! "The City of Saskatoon is one of the best locations in Canada for Yukigassen - their history of sport and community participation made it a very easy decision", says Yukigassen Canada Executive Director, Carrie Ferguson. "Tourism Saskatoon and the Sport Tourism Board are clearly focussed on growing tourism by attracting new, innovative events to the city. We are anxious to grow this event and eventually bring the National Championships to Saskatoon". In the January event, winners of Yukigassen Saskatoon will have the opportunity to compete in the National Championships in Edmonton March 4-6.
